How is hypothyroidism diagnosed?

Hypothyroidism can be diagnosed with a simple TSH blood test.1 If you suspect you have hypothyroidism, make a note of your symptoms and speak to your doctor. A family history of autoimmune disease or type 1 diabetes may increase your risk for hypothyroidism.2 It will only help to share this information with your doctor, during discussions.
